It's part folktale, part autobiographic and is told in both English and Spanish. Inspired by the classic 1980s illustrated novella CYCLE OF THE WEREWOLF by Stephen King and Bernie Wrightson, this bilingual story is both a gruesome tale of the occult and a touching depiction of mid-century Costa Rican life. A beautiful hardcover, it includes over 250 pages crammed with historical maps, creature designs and photos of actual locations from the story both then and now. It's also a historical perspective of Delgado's parents' lives in the small town in Costa Rica where they grew up, but with the fictional (or is it?) horror element of a vampire added in.
