What the issue is
Queen in Black is a new Marvel cosmic event. Al Ewing and Iban Coello — the team behind Venom War (2024) — launch this event with Hela of Asgard making planetfall on Earth with a legion of the galaxy's deadliest symbiotes. Knull, God of the Void, is building a new army on the farthest edges of the solar system. Two of the most powerful evils in the galaxy are at war — and the son of Venom is caught in the middle. The event spins out across three simultaneous first issues this week: Queen in Black #1 (the main series, $7.99), Queen in Black: Hela #1 ($4.99, Carlos Magno), and Queen in Black: Defenders of Light and Dark #1 ($4.99, Tom Waltz and Ze Carlos featuring Beta Ray Bill and Tony Stark's new Black Metal Armor).
