If you haven't been watching My Adventures with Superman, Season 3 is the perfect time to catch up.
The animated series from Warner Bros. Animation has been one of the best Superman adaptations in years — genuinely charming, emotionally honest, and unafraid to adapt some of the most beloved storylines in the character's history. Season 3 premieres on Adult Swim on June 13 before moving to Max.
Jack Quaid returns as Clark Kent / Superman alongside Alice Lee's Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid's Jimmy Olsen.
The storyline: Reign of the Supermen
Season 3 is inspired by the Reign of the Supermen — one of the most iconic Superman narratives ever published. After Superman's apparent death, four figures emerge claiming to be the Man of Steel: Cyborg Superman, Superboy, Steel, and the Eradicator. The new season puts its own spin on this, with Clark navigating imposters while settling into his life with Lois — all as Lex Luthor's rise accelerates.
Read the comics alongside the show
The Reign of the Supermen is one of the defining Superman stories of the 1990s — a massive, multi-title crossover that changed the shape of the character for a generation. We have it collected in the Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol. 3, which collects the full Reign of the Supermen saga in one volume. Written by Dan Jurgens, Karl Kesel, Louise Simonson and Roger Stern — the definitive collected edition of the storyline the show is drawing from.
If you want to start even earlier, the same omnibus series begins with the Death of Superman. Ask us in store or at superheroempire.com for the full reading order.
