Death Spiral is over. The fallout isn't.
Amazing Spider-Man #30 (legacy #994) picks up with Joe Kelly and Pete Woods continuing the consequences of what came before — specifically, a situation involving a villain called Spore whose spread is, per the solicitation, directly Peter Parker's fault.
What this issue is about
That kind of moral weight is the bread and butter of a good Spider-Man story, and Kelly has been mining it consistently in this run. Peter isn't just fighting a villain here — he's asking whether he should be fighting at all, given what his actions started.
The issue also contains answers to a mystery set up during the ASM/Venom Death Spiral crossover. If you've been following that storyline across both books, this is the chapter where some of those threads get resolved.
Worth knowing
Amazing Spider-Man #30 sits at a 3.5 on League of Comic Geeks — a solid read that moves the story forward rather than a peak standalone chapter. If you've been following the run consistently, this issue is the one that pays off recent setup. If you're not on the book yet, issue #25 is a cleaner jumping-on point — come ask us in store and we'll point you in the right direction.
