Absolute Catwoman #1 was one of the most significant debut issues of 2026. Four confirmed Key Collector Comics keys in a single issue: 1st Cassandra Cain (Absolute), 1st Holly Robinson (Absolute), 1st Copycats, and the 1st mention of the Calicos. Issue #2 is where the story built on those keys starts to pay off.
The setup
Selina Kyle established herself as the world's greatest thief in issue #1 — until someone from her past came knocking. The globe-trotting mystery accelerates in issue #2, with Selina chasing answers across the Absolute Universe while managing the threat the Copycats represent. Che Grayson and Scott Snyder remain on co-writing duties, with Bengal continuing to define the visual identity of this corner of the Absolute Universe.
The collector angle
Issue #2 carries two important secondary market signals. First: 2nd appearances of Cassandra Cain and Holly Robinson in the Absolute Universe — characters whose debut in issue #1 are confirmed KCC keys. Second, and more significant: the best opportunity yet for the 1st full appearance of the Calicos, who were only mentioned (never shown) in issue #1. First mention issues historically trade at a significant discount to 1st full appearance issues. If the Calicos appear in #2, this becomes a confirmed key.
Collectors who picked up multiples of issue #1 should be watching issue #2 closely.
