The Pokémon Company has a surprise restock coming for one of the year's hardest-to-find sets: three new Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes Tins arrive August 28 at $21.99 each.

What's in the tins

Each tin includes four booster packs from Ascended Heroes, plus one of three promo cards: Mega Feraligatr ex, Mega Meganium ex, or Mega Emboar ex.

Ascended Heroes originally launched back in January as one of the biggest Mega Evolution-era sets by card count, and it's been consistently hard to keep on shelves since. This isn't new packs of a fresh set — it's more supply for a set that's been running thin all year, which is exactly what makes it useful for anyone still working on that binder.

Some community pushback, worth knowing

Because the three promo cards were already distributed through January's Mega Boxes, some longtime collectors see this as a repeat product rather than new content. That said, for the majority of players just trying to find Ascended Heroes packs at all, more supply is more supply.

What's next

Look further out and the calendar gets bigger: the TCG's 30th Anniversary Celebration set lands September 16 — the first Pokémon TCG release ever to launch worldwide simultaneously, with over 150 cards including 30 classic reprints and a new "Futuristic Rare" rarity headlined by Mew ex and Mewtwo ex.
