What happens in issue #46

Gotham City is a powder keg, and Poison Ivy is the match. The air is full of anger, pain, and despair as things go from bad to even worse. The chopping block is calling for Mayor Pamela Isley. Can Ivy's faithful underlings save her from herself, or will the city swallow them whole first? Source: DC Comics official July 2026 solicitations.

The run in context

G. Willow Wilson's Poison Ivy run launched in 2022 and redefined the character from villain to antihero to something altogether stranger and more interesting. Wilson has written Ivy as a genuinely moral figure whose morality simply operates on a different axis to most DC characters — the Green supersedes human law, and Ivy's actions follow from that with an internal logic that makes her one of the most compelling protagonists in DC's current line. Leandro Fernandez's art has evolved throughout the run to match the increasingly ambitious scope of the story. At 46 issues and counting, it is one of the longest-running villain-led titles in DC's modern history. Source: DC Comics official.

Why collectors should pay attention

Final issues of acclaimed runs consistently attract completion buying. Poison Ivy's run is approaching its conclusion, which means the back-issue window for early issues at reasonable prices is closing. Issue #1 remains the key to own. Source: CovrPrice.com.
