Two major TCG dates are on the calendar back-to-back: One Piece OP-17: The World's Strongest Warriors releases worldwide in English tomorrow, August 28, with Pokémon's biggest release of the year following three weeks later.
One Piece OP-17: The World's Strongest Warriors — Aug 28
OP-17 is the 4th Anniversary set and the first release under Bandai's newly aligned global release schedule, meaning the gap between the Japanese and English versions is tightening going forward. It follows the Japanese release on August 22.

Coming next: Pokémon TCG's 30th Celebration — Sept 16
This one is a genuine first: the 30th Celebration set marks Pokémon TCG's first-ever worldwide simultaneous Japanese and English launch in the game's 30-year history. Every pack is all-foil, and the set introduces a brand-new "Futuristic Rare" rarity headlined by Mewtwo ex and Mew ex. The roughly 150-card set also includes 30 unique Pikachu illustrations and 30 classic reprints — including the original Base Set Charizard. An Espeon & Umbreon Premium Deck Set launches the same day.
Why this run of dates matters
Two headline TCG releases three weeks apart, one of them a genuine once-in-the-game's-history event, makes late August through mid-September worth planning around for TCG customers on both sides of the counter.
