New York Comic Con turns 20 this year, and ReedPop has already released its first wave of guests ahead of the show's return to the Javits Center, October 8–11, 2026. General admission tickets opened June 24; day passes are running roughly $93–$109 USD, and VIP/4-day passes have already sold out.

The comics side of the guest list

For a comic and trading card shop, the headline names are on the Artist Alley side of the announcement:

  • Frank Miller — the Dark Knight Returns and Sin City legend remains one of the most in-demand signings at any show he attends
  • Jim Lee — DC's President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer, plus one of the most collected artists of the past three decades
  • Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta — the team behind Absolute Batman, fresh off SDCC programming for the same title
  • James Tynion IV — writer across multiple ongoing horror and superhero lines
  • Stephanie Phillips, Jim Steranko, Jock, Jimmy Palmiotti, Ryan Ottley, Amanda Conner, Daniel Warren Johnson, and Mirka Andolfo round out an unusually deep comics lineup for a first-wave announcement

Beyond comics

NYCC's broader draw remains its film, TV, and gaming guest roster: Star Wars' Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid, a Scream reunion with Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, and Jamie Kennedy, plus a partial Jurassic Park cast reunion. Exhibitors confirmed so far include Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Webtoon, Crunchyroll, Nickelodeon, and Viz.

Why this matters for your pull list

Frank Miller, Scott Snyder, and Nick Dragotta appearing together puts a fresh spotlight on the Absolute Batman and classic Dark Knight Returns lines heading into October — the same creative team behind this month's Bad Seeds event. Expect renewed customer interest in back issues and collected editions from both runs in the run-up to the show, whether or not you're making the trip to Javits Center yourself.

Panel programming, autograph sessions, and photo-op schedules are expected closer to the event — we'll follow up with a second NYCC post once those drop.
