The story
Spinning out of Lara Croft's surprise first appearance in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #330, the series sends Lara to Cobra Island in search of the Arbco Star — a long-lost treasure tied to the G.I. Joe universe. She will need the help of her old acquaintance Shipwreck and several squads of Joes. Standing in their way are Destro and Baroness, who want the treasure for themselves. Why this matters for collectors
The G.I. Joe / Tomb Raider crossover is the kind of event first issue that has a strong track record of secondary market strength. Two beloved franchises crossing over for the first time in comic history, on a KCC-flagged parent issue that sold out at distributor level on day one, with a seven-cover debut from Skybound — which has produced some of the strongest collector events of the past five years (Absolute Batman, The Walking Dead, Energon Universe). The 1:100 foil and the 1:25 Chris Mooneyham incentive are the covers to prioritise in depth. Source: Key Collector Comics, CovrPrice.com historical data, Skybound official.
